Housekeeping Valet
At Grand Hyatt Barcelona, one of the city’s iconic luxury hotels, we are looking for a dedicated, proactive, and detail-oriented Housekeeping Valet to join our Housekeeping team.
This role supports the daily work of the Housekeeping department. In particular, it helps ensure that guest rooms, linen distribution, and housekeeping supplies are managed well and follow Hyatt’s luxury standards. You will work with Room Attendants, Housekeeping Supervisors, Laundry, and other hotel departments. As a result, you will help provide excellent guest experiences and support smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle soiled linen and take it to the laundry by following hotel procedures and quality standards.
- Distribute clean linen, amenities, and housekeeping supplies to guest floors efficiently and correctly.
- Prepare and restock housekeeping trolleys with linen, cleaning products, amenities, and supplies based on occupancy and daily needs.
- Deliver and manage special guest requests, including extra beds, baby cribs, and extra room amenities.
- Support deep cleaning projects in guest rooms and public areas when needed.
- Keep storage rooms, pantries, service areas, and housekeeping stations clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Check linen inventory levels, report differences, and help verify laundry deliveries.
- Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or safety concerns to the correct supervisor.
- Follow department checklists, policies, and work procedures to maintain quality and consistency.
- Help maintain Hyatt brand standards and create excellent guest experiences.
Qualifications
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in Housekeeping, Laundry, Hospitality, Hotel Operations, or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and transport linen, supplies, and equipment safely.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to support colleagues when needed.
- Ability to follow work procedures, safety guidelines, and department standards.
- Basic Spanish is required; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays according to business needs.
- Eligibility to work in Spain/EU.
