Responsibilities
- Pick up passengers from specified locations according to scheduled or requested trips
- Transport passengers safely and efficiently to their desired destinations
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure passenger safety
- Maintain a clean, presentable, and well-maintained vehicle at all times
- Collect fares and process payments accurately
- Keep clear and accurate records of transactions
- Provide excellent customer service, including assisting with luggage
- Offer basic information about local landmarks and attractions when required
- Adhere to company policies related to safety, vehicle maintenance, and service standards
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Driver’s Abstract required
- Security clearance checked by RNC (Royal Newfoundland Constabulary)
- Experience as a cab driver or in a customer service role (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of traffic rules and road safety
- Familiarity with St. John’s and surrounding neighbourhoods
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
