Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform welding work using SMAW, MIG, or other suitable welding methods.
- Fabricate and assemble steel structures.
- Measure, cut, grind, and fit metal materials to the required dimensions and specifications.
- Read and understand basic drawings, sketches, measurements, and fabrication instructions.
- Operate welding machines, grinders, cutting torches, drilling machines, and other fabrication tools.
- Check the fit-up and alignment of fabricated materials before welding.
- Inspect welded and fabricated work to ensure durability, proper alignment, and quality.
- Keep tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Use PPE properly and follow all safety procedures at all times.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Perform other related duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder, Fabricator, or Welder/Fabricator.
- NCII is an advantage.
- Knowledge of welding and metal fabrication work.
- Ability to operate welding machines, grinders, cutting torches, and other fabrication tools.
- Ability to read tape measures, drawings, and fabrication layouts.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
